Does training cost anything to attend?

Yes and No.  It depends on the training session you attend.  Most of the training has a small fee to pay for training aids, patches, food, snacks and drinks.   Training is conducted by volunteer leaders who are not paid for their time.   Some training is free of charge.  All fees are published in advance of the training session.

How can I get training when I cannot make the scheduled training?

Remember training is conducted on different days, times and locations throughout the district.  Several training sessions are offered throughout the year to help accommodate your schedule.  If for some reason you cannot seem to make the scheduled time you have a few options:

1.  Take the training in another district within Circle 10 Council.

2.  Schedule a time when you can take the class with the District Training Chairman. There is a minimum amount of attendees required to schedule a training course.

3.  Plan to attend a training scheduled for another unit.  Contact the District Training Chairman for this info.

How do I get involved on the training committee?

Good Question.  Get in contact with your District Training Chairman.  People who make good trainers are those who have participated in the training courses offered by the District and Council.  Trainer Development and Wood Badge are good courses to take if you are serious about being a trainer.
