Sherman, TX (just East of Chase Bank and right next door to Lupe’s Tamales). The Scouting Station will have: youth and adult applications, Circle Ten camping brochures, and any Texoma Valley District event flyers. Scouting Station is not always open but with some heads-up of one’s arrival we can make proper arrangements. There is a mail slot on the main door and forms can be dropped off for delivery down to Fairview or Dallas Scoutfitter (please do not put money or other valuables into mail slot). Call Jerry Greener with any questions 214-707-9546. … Read More

Unit Leaders and Scouts, have you been stumped on where you can take your unit camping and don’t know where to begin? Well we now have a handy tool for you to use that will be a great starting point for you to find some new places to go camping. Look for “Scout Camping Search” listed under the “Camping” tab on the TVD website. We now have the ability for anyone to enter their zip code and a radius in miles to search. It will return results of Scout Camps, State parks and other great locations within Texas, Oklahoma and a few in Arkansas. It will show you some of the things that each camp offers in an easy to read table along with a link to that camp’s website.

If you take the opportunity to try out this new feature, please let me know what you think … Read More
